Accommodation

A very spacious family holiday home in an extremely peaceful and secluded valley location with IMG_0399frequent visits by birds such as woodpecker, kite, buzzards, goldfinch, great tits, bull finch, goldcrest, nuthatch, blue tits and more. Cil-y-Gorwel is a former farmhouse IMG_9824 (2)that has been renovated to a very high standard near the beautiful sea-side village of Llangrannog with its pubs, cafe’s, shop and blue flag beach.

Wood-fired hot tub

Installed during October 2016 is our wood-fired hot tub supplied by Rustic Tubs. It is of a traditional soaking tub style, with no chemicals, jets or plastic, just a wooden tub with hot fresh water. Located in a private and sheltered part of the garden by the stream especially good at night with friends and clear starry sky above. This is a hands on experience and you will need to light the fire and bring the tub up to temperature.

Around and about
Llangrannog is a popular resort with a safe sandy beach on the Cardigan Bay coast between Cardigan and Aberaeron. It has 2 pubs, the Ship Inn and the Pentre Arms, (both serving food), a large and popular beach café serving ice-creams, a café & fish and chip shop and a general store selling food, snacks, beach toys etc. New in 2021 is a cracking wood-fired pizza takeaway.

Cil-y-Gorwel is a 35-45 minute walk or a short drive down to the beach at Llangrannog. The 60 mile Ceredigion Coastal Path links many coastal villages along Cardigan Bay and from Llangrannog, you can walk north towards New Quay or south towards Tresaith or Mwnt with spectacular coastal views in both directions.

The market town of Cardigan is a short 15 minute drive away with numerous shops, restaurants, supermarkets and of course the recently renovated 11th Century Cardigan Castle at the heart of the town.
