Main house

The house dates from the late 1800’s comprising four bedrooms, two doubles (one king size), bunk room, and single bedroom with pull out bed. It has recently undergone a complete renovation after damage to the kitchen roof following a fire at the property in the summer of 2014. There are 2 acres of grounds to roam around and explore. With no immediate neighbours you are assured of a relaxing and private getaway.

The kitchen

Fitted with a full size dishwasher, microwave, wine cooler, wine rack, two under counter fridges each with a small ice box, an electric range cooker with two ovens and separate grill. There is an island with stool seating and large windows with recessed seats to enjoy the view out to the stream, paddock and hot tub. There is also an internet connected smart TV along with a large chaise lounge style sofa to enjoy the elevated rural views.

Living / dining room

There is a large living room with smart TV (Netflix enabled), a wood burning stove, large patio door window and dining table to seat up to 8 people.

The renovation of the property lent itself to keeping a more traditional country farmhouse feel in the living / dining room with sofa’s, a snuggle chair and other seating for guests.

Family bathroom

Brand new remodelled bathroom including large walk-in rainfall shower. Freestanding bath, heated towel rail and velux roof window.

Brand new shower room and WC.


The grounds comprise a stream, terraced side garden, fruit garden, front paddock and further sloping field and small area of woods to the side and rear of the property. The landscaping, though largely complete is ongoing and we will need another few seasons to complete everything we want to do. All grounds are all fully accessible and available for guests to use.  In total you will have two acres to explore and roam around. We are currently building a balcony terrace and hope to have it commissioned by the end of the 2019 season. This will adjoin the 1st floor kitchen and should provide an excellent outdoor space for BBQ’s and outdoor dining.

There is a small stream flowing through the property helping to attract lots of birds. Though it is normally very shallow and slow flowing it can get higher during rainy days. therefore, it is very important that children are supervised at all times.

There is a drum style BBQ available for use and a fire pit to get an outside fire going, there should be some wood lying around or off cuts supplied for you to get you going. If you fancy a night under the stars you could also bring a tent and camp out in the field at the front. The house is located on a quiet road with minimal traffic and it gets very dark at night so bring a torch if you are out and about. The night sky can be spectacular as there are no immediate street lights in the area, we often see shooting stars on clear nights.


Fully re-wired during renovation works with mains operated smoke and carbon monoxide alarms for peace of mind.


Again new system installed. This is an oil fired system with programmer to keep you warm in winter. There is an immersion heater if needed.

What’s included when you rent;

Fresh bedding and towels will be provided, though please bring your own hot tub and beach towels.

Wood to get the stove and or hot tub going for a night or two, a hair dryer, ironing board and iron, Wi-Fi and high chair are all provided.

Toilet rolls, hand and kitchen towels. Lots of off road parking for guests cars.
